Can students buy lessons in packages?

Yes. You create packages with any number of lesson credits, a price, an optional instalment plan and an expiry date. Students buy them by card on your website, and each class they book uses the credits its kind of class costs.

Do I need Zoom or Google Meet for online lessons?

No. Kommune has its own video classroom with cameras, screen sharing and optional recordings, opened from the class page. If you'd rather use each teacher's own meeting link, you can choose that per course.

Does it work for music, art and dance schools, not just languages?

Yes. You define each kind of class yourself: its length, one-to-one or group size, the credits it costs and whether students pick a time or you set the timetable. Any school or tutor that teaches live lessons can use it.

What does the school module cost?

Courses, live classes, lesson packages and the video classroom are included on every Kommune plan, the free plan too. Paid plans lower Kommune's fee on card payments and add storage and text messages.

Kommune's Courses module is built for schools that teach live: one-to-one, in pairs or in small groups.

Lesson packages and credits: Sell 5, 10 or 20 lessons at once, paid in full or in monthly instalments, with an expiry date, pause days and a low-balance alert. Each class spends its credits, a cancel in time gives them back, and every payment gets a numbered receipt with your sales tax.
Weekly lessons that keep their time: A student switches on Every week when booking, and Kommune keeps the next weeks booked at the same time in the teacher's time zone, so daylight saving never moves a lesson. A week the teacher is away is skipped, and reminders go out a day and an hour before each class.
A video classroom with recordings: Teacher and students click Join on the class page and meet in Kommune's own classroom, with cameras and screen sharing and nothing to install. Switch on recording for a kind of class and everyone in it can watch the lesson again for as long as you keep recordings, up to 90 days.
Lesson plans, homework and progress checks: Teachers plan each student's next lessons, write notes, set homework and record a score after class. Students turn in homework as text, files or a voice recording, get feedback or another try, and see every note and score on their own lesson plan.
Free trials booked from your website: Open a free kind of class to visitors and they pick a day, a time and a teacher on your site, confirm their email and get an account and a booking in one step. One trial per student holds for guests too, and the teacher is told straight away.
Teacher profiles and verified reviews: Each teacher gets a headline, an intro video and teaching certificates, shown wherever students choose a teacher. Students can review teachers, classes and packages only after they've actually taken them, so every rating on your site is earned.
